Creating New Marketing Strategies

When I founded Black Architects, Artists, and Planners, it was important to distinguish the group from other university-based organizations. My team and I decided upon many different strategies for event advertisement and landed on animated marketing tactics. I took to Adobe Photoshop to bring our initiatives to life with moving pictographs and voice overs. As a result, our animated reels have reach over 14,000 views in total.

Our Mission

Black AAP strives to create a family and a collective where one’s success is the success of all.

While the Architecture, Art, and Planning department at Cornell exists as a small unit within a large university, Black students within the department make up less than 1% of that community.

This provides an opportunity for a much deeper connection among our small numbers.

Despite this, our strength is not determined by our size, but rather each individual within it.
